Abigale Lee Miller bio
Abigale Lee Miller(born September 21 1965) is an American choreographer, dance instructor and reality television host. Abby Lee Dance Company was created by her. It was a part of eight seasons of Dance Moms. Miller was found guilty on June 27th, 2016, to criminal bankruptcy fraud. Miller was sentenced to one and two-and-a-half years in federal prison. She was released on the 27th of March 2018. In April 2018 she was diagnosed with lymphoma, which is a kind of cancer that renders it difficult for people to walk. To get around she relies on wheelchair. Miller has been a dancer since childhood in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, located in a Pittsburgh suburb. She was studying under the tutelage of her mother at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller aged 14 at the time, was given choreography and coaching of one of her mother's dance teams. Miller took control of the company and changed it's name to Reign Dance Productions in 1995. Miller was certified by Dance Masters of America, and was a member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 (February 1986). However, DMA terminated her membership in February 2012, citing that Miller's reality television show Dance Moms was a "complete false representation of the teachers we have and their students" and was harmful to the profession.
